about
This is another track off of my upcoming album "Problems" and it talks about what happens to girls when they feel they are not good enough. I knew a girl in high school and I feel terrible for her because she just kept hurting herself more and more because all of these people kept making her feel like she was never skinny enough, pretty enough etc. To all the girls out there, you're fine, don't try and be someone you're not.
lyrics
Are you listening?
It's obvious that you're not okay
The bottles line the floor
And no one likes you when you're drunk
And this isn't the first time
But I'll do what I can
To get you out of this rut
But it's not easy
Why do you do this to yourself?
I said you're better than this
You said who am I to judge?
I guess you got your way
I guess you had your reasons
But now I know that you're wrong
And all your friends see it to
You were strong like a tree
Now all that's left is the branches.
And now I'm worried
Cause I saw you for the first time
And you looked like shit
But now I know that it's not your fault
You just had some bad friends
Who fucked you and left you like trash
But what could you do
You were just a kid
We all made mistakes
We shouldn't dwell on them
But unlike you I took a stand
And stopped throwing the "poor me" card
And started making some changes
I said you're better than this
You said who am I to judge?
I guess you got your way
I guess you had your reasons
But now I know that you're wrong
And all your friends see it to
You were strong like a tree
Now all that's left is the branches.
I hope you take care of yourself
I hope that you come to your senses
Don't waste your time and your energy
Don't give your happiness to those who don't deserve it.
